This is the next step in your fly fishing journey to become a proficient and accurate caster. We will work on your double haul, line management, techniques for tight water and picking up line, delicacy of fly presentation, casting with stealth, and other tactics.

Intro to Fly Fishing

This is the foundational course for establishing a fly cast and learning fishing basics. The 2 hour lesson in normally on land, in which you’ll learn to set up a fly rod, differences between rod and reel weight classes, rigging and tying on a fly, essential knots, along with 3 basic casts. You will learn to Pick Up and Lay Down the line, roll cast, and false cast. A great way to start your fly fishing journey! The extended lesson will involve entering the water and applying what we learned.
